David Allan Tschan, beloved husband, son, and brother, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, 2020 in Denver, Colorado.  Born into a military family in South Korea, he traveled many places before the family settled in Colorado Springs in 1993.

Growing up in Colorado, David discovered his love of baseball, mountain biking, hiking and ice hockey.  He was an avid athlete and continued to play ice hockey beyond college.  He graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 2001, then studied business at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He played forward in intramural ice hockey and roller hockey in college, graduating from CU in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Business and Information Systems.  It was also at CU where he met his life love, Maggie.

After college David transitioned to the business world, working in the Denver consulting community for over a decade.  He ultimately moved to the Denver Center of the Performing Arts where he combined his love for data and ticketing into his position as the Director of Data and Applications.  He considered himself fortunate to love both his work and his colleagues.

He passionately followed Denver professional sports teams, which hit a high point when he attended the World Series to watch his beloved Rockies play.  David enjoyed traveling with his wife, family, and friends. He had an adventurous palate, seeking out obscure yet delicious foods during his travels. David had a taste for sports cars, the latest gadgets, and a keen eye for photography.

Although David had a mischievous side, he was quick to aid anyone who asked.  David was a sensitive person with a strong stubborn streak.  He had an understated brilliance, was able to debate circles around his peers, had both quick wit and kind spirit.

David is survived by his wife Maggie of Denver, his parents Christopher and Sheena of Colorado Springs, brother Jason and wife Leslie of Colorado Springs, niece Ellison, nephew Easton, and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Audrey.  David leaves behind many loving family members, friends and colleagues who will greatly miss his wide smile and kind soul.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to causes close to David's heart such as Project Angel Heart ( www.projectangelheart.org ) , Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy ( www.parentprojectmd.org ), or the Denver Center for the Performing Arts ( www.denvercenter.org/support-us/give-now/ ).  A memorial is planned for a later date.
