Caroline M.
Cossey
June 14, 1942 – April 10, 2022
Caroline May Cossey, loving mother, grandmother (Grammy), and great grandmother, passed away peacefully as the sun went down on April 10th, 2022 with family by her side. Carol was born in Wisconsin in 1942 and travelled extensively as a military kid. She graduated high school in 1960in Arizona and ended up in California where she met her husband, Tim, and they married in 1962.
Carol was a devoted mother who cared for her kids and others in her home for years. She eventually entered the workforce and spent many dedicated years at Chicago Title Company and then Stanley Aviation Company. Carol had a heart of gold that led her into countless hours of volunteer work. First with the Aurora Youth League Football and Baseball Leagues where she coordinated many teams and schedules as well as planning and running many end-of-the-year banquets. For the football banquets she was instrumental in getting many guest speakers over the years from the Denver Broncos football teams. Later, she would receive training and become a decade long volunteer for the Victims Advocate Program of the Aurora Police Department.
Carol spent the first 65 years of her life putting other people first with plans to travel with her husband when they retired. Unfortunately, her husband Tim died shortly before retirement and she felt robbed of their time to explore life and the world. In 2010 she met Bob Clark. Together they would travel and participate in all of the activities that Carol had on her To-do List. Bob was such a blessing to her and helped her find herself and her smile again after the death of Tim. As time passed and Carol's health deteriorated, Bob remained by her side to help her keep living her life. Carol kept her spunk to the very end. What she could no longer say with words, she said with her smile, her laugh, her eyes and yes, sometimes "that finger". She will be deeply missed and her giving spirit will live on in all of the lives that she touched in her almost 80 years.
Carol is survived by her partner Bob Clark; her children Colleen Krebs, Cathleen Mulqueen, Craig Cossey and Christopher Cossey. She is predeceased by her parents Clarence and Ruth Christman; her husband Timothy Cossey.
