Cathy, Age 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the University of Colorado Medical Center on October 12, 2024, of end-stage liver failure. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Denver, earning a Master's Degree in Education. She taught and eventually became an Academic Dean at Prairie Middle School, part of Cherry Creek Schools, for over 25 years.

Cathy was an avid tennis player and member of the Denver Tennis Club in earlier years. She met her husband, John, on the tennis courts, and after a two week courtship, accepted his proposal for marriage. They recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her husband, John, son Chris, daughter Emilee (Barthule), and twin Grandsons, Jett and Baker. Cathy was preceded in death by her son, Jack, passing in 2012.
