The family of Cynthia Lee Smith is saddened to announce her death on March 8, 2025 at her home in Denver. Born in Denver, Cindy graduated from George Washington High School and had a BS in Communications from the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo. She worked as a computer programmer in the tech industry her entire career.

Cindy was a volunteer for many years at the Denver Spring StarFest Convention and was a collector of all things 'Trekkie'. In retirement she was an avid nature and landscape photographer and a lover of the animal world, especially dogs and manatees. She was also a lifelong member of University Park United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her brothers Ronald (Diana) and Norman (JoBeth), her nieces Amy and Kelli (Teddy), their children, many cousins and her Aunt Betsy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Homer Smith and Isabelle Lee Smith. Also by her companion of over 40 years, Dick Shaw.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at University Park United Methodist Church 2180 S University Blvd, Denver, CO.
