Diane Cheryl Jokerst, 78, passed away June 20, 2025, with her daughters by her side. She was born December 8, 1946, in New London, Connecticut to Aloysius and Anita Kottenstette. In 1971, Diane married Jim Jokerst. They were married for 45 years and together raised two daughters.

Diane earned a degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Early Childhood Education, but her true passion was for flowers, fine linens and crystal vases.  As a florist for 15 years at Cottonwood Florist, Diane shared her talent for design and customer service.  She also found much happiness in the Home Department of Dillard's as a wedding consultant.  Diane's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by daughters Annie (Andrew) Vogt of Christchurch, NZ, and Molly (Max) Spradley of Denver, CO; grandchildren Sarah and Catherine Vogt, and June and Levi Spradley; siblings, David Kottenstette of Denver, CO, TK Ryn of Madrid, NM, and Leonard (Mary) Kottenstette of St. Joseph, MO.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, her brother Andrew Kottenstette, and sisters Linda and Mary Kottenstette.

A Memorial Liturgy to honor Diane's life will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 6:00pm at Sixth Avenue United Church of Christ, 3250 E. 6th Avenue, Denver, CO 80206.  Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association in her name.
