Obituary

Diane was born in Denver, Colorado and was raised in the catholic school system. She always felt fortunate to have had a happy childhood with loving parents and her wonderful sister, Christina. She enjoyed her early exposure to classical music and playing the piano throughout her life. She had a great sense of humor, and always had a joke to tell. She loved to travel and did several tours of duty with the U.S. Navy Reserve in Japan and Indonesia. Her career as an Executive Assistant exposed her to many areas of business including banking, law and the oil and gas industry. She met her husband, Merrill while she was Executive Assistant to the President of Husky Oil Company of Alberta, Canada. They both retired from Husky and she took up golf because Merrill was an avid golfer. She loved it instantly, and it was easy for her because of all the years she enjoyed playing tennis. Because Merrill didn't like snow, they followed the warm weather and they divided their time between their home in Indian Wells, California and their summer home in Colorado with their golfing friends. She loved the animals but cats were her favorite. She had cared for several throughout her life and many dogs as well. She came to Buddhism when she was in her fifties and followed the teachings of the Tibetan Master, Djwhal Khul. She was very involved in the Vajra Flame Foundation and worked to spread the teachings of this Ascended Master. Diane was a very happy person and was looking forward to passing from this life and getting on to the next one. Diane is survived by her beloved sister Christina DiCino and family. Preceded in death by her husband. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 4:00pm till 6:30pm on Sunday, August 17, 2014, Columbine Country Club, 17 Fairway Lane, Columbine Valley, Colorado 80123. Memorials may be made to Denver Hospice, 501 S. Cherry St, Ste 700, Denver, CO 80246 or online at thedenverhospice.org. We loved her and will miss her. Many happy returns, Diane.
