Dorothy J. (Baum) Fisher, 93, died peacefully at her home in Lakewood, Colorado, on January 24, 2023.  She was born in Ballentine, Montana on January 2, 1930, and spent most of her childhood there. She graduated from Huntley Project High School in 1947. She then attended Billings Business College and graduated in 1949.

After college she went to work for Mountain Bell in Billings where she worked in the payroll department. This is also where she met George Fisher whom she married in 1954 and remained married to until his death in November 2021.

She devoted her life to her family and volunteer work where she was recognized for 50 years of service in 2018.  She was also very active in Lakewood United Church of Christ.  Her passions included gardening, bike riding, skiing, spending time with her 3 grandsons, as well as traveling with her husband of 67 years.

She is survived by son Scott (Jacque); daughter Margaret Smith (Tracy); daughter Paula McKay (Tim) and 3 loving grandsons: Tucker and Brandon Smith, and Sean McKay.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lakewood United Church of Christ, 100 Carr St. Lakewood, CO 80226. Memorials may be made to Lakewood United Church of Christ or Jeffco Action Center in her name.
