Obituary

Dorothy Jenot Mills was born on December 1, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of Jenot and Sandy Mills and the oldest of four children: Charlton (Regina), Whitney (Pat) and Molly (Michael). From birth she was called "Dolly" after her great-grandmother. She graduated from Laurel School and Ohio State University with a B.S. in Education. She taught first grade and was a children's librarian for many years.

She served 2 years in VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) in Southeast Kentucky. She was a child advocate who thrived on reaching out to children, always encouraging them, and pointing out their endearing qualities. Dolly also loved sewing children's clothes and "comfort" quilts for foster children.

Dolly is survived by her very dear husband, Bert, her dear children Christopher (Meridith) and Courtney (Fletcher), and her grandchildren: Wyatt Lager and Mara, Otto, and Fritz Jacobs.
