Dorothy Anne McConnell was born on September 7, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Frank and Annette Petri. She was the youngest of three children. She married Everett Orville McConnell June 14, 1952 in New York. They had three sons; Thomas, Douglas and Daniel. The family moved to Colorado in 1964. She was a teacher's assistant for school district 50 for many years.

At her request no services will be held and will be laid to rest with her husband Everett at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
