Edgar Joseph Donahoe Jr. was born on January 26, 1931, in Casper, Wyoming and died July 5, 2022, in Denver, Colorado at Clermont Park he was 91.  He was a graduate of East High School and attended CU Boulder.  He was married to Carol Cheney Donahoe for 61 years.  Ed worked as a public accountant, owning his own business for most of his career.  He received an award for his service in the Public Accountants Society of Colorado.  Ed served in the army in Pusan, Korea during the Korean conflict from February 1951 – November 1953 where he received Korean Service medal with two bronze service stars, good conduct, national defense service and United Nations service medals.

Ed has been a long-term member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was highly involved with the Lakewood Luncheon Optimist Club from nearly its inception to the close.

He is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Cathy, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his daughter Lane, sister Cecilia, brother James and his parents Lenis (Smith) and Edgar J. Donahoe, Sr.

A service celebrating Ed's life will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 4:00pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2201 Dexter St., Denver, CO  80207 with a reception to follow.  Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Ed's name.
