On October 28 ^th , 2022 the Lord called home his most ardent angel, Florence Loretta Shelton, who passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 95, in Thornton, CO.

Florence was the biological mother to two wonderful daughters, Malvina Acker, and Dorothy Epright, who both preceded her in death. She was house mother to dozens, many whom she helped raise from infancy to adulthood alongside their biological parents.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Darie Shelton, and all 10 of her siblings, Ruby Scott, Riley Greene, Arthur Greene, Leroy Greene, Edward Greene, James Greene, Steanna Greene, Ethel Pruitt, Sonny Greene and Virgil Greene.

She is survived by 7 grandchildren, Robert J. Acker Jr., Damita Shelton, Yolanda Haynes, Darie Acker, Andrella James, Dana Weinand, and Florence Parker, plus 22 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She's also survived by a ton of nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. She was loved and adored by all that called her, mother, sister, grandma, auntie and friend.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00am at Word Alive Church, 761 E. 88th Ave., Thornton, CO 80229.
