Wallace Iii "Pete"

Francis Xavier Wallace III "Pete" passed away in Denver, Colorado on October 8, 2022. Pete was born April 17, 1944, in Schenectady, New York, son of the late Francis X. Wallace Jr. "Frank" and Mary Elizabeth Leonard.
Pete's family moved to Denver from Schenectady, New York in 1954, and he remained a lifelong New York Yankees fan following the move. He attended Mullen High School in Denver, Benedictine College in Atchison Kansas, Regis College in Denver, and served in the Air Force at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock TX. Pete worked in the psychiatric division at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver for many years, later Exempla Health, and founded Cimaron Counseling in Denver for family counseling, and those struggling with addiction.
Pete is survived by his son Francis Xavier Wallace IV "F.X" (Beth), granddaughter Morgan Wallace, sister Elizabeth "Betsy" (David Worstell), brother Charles M. Wallace "Charlie" (Bernadine) of Marion, IN, and his former wife, Darlene Dwyer Wallace (F.X.'s mother).
Pete was a great father, grandfather, brother, uncle, coach, and friend and we will miss him always.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, October 24, 2022, 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church 850 Elm Street, Denver, CO 80220. Reception to follow after service. Committal service with Military Honors will follow reception, 1:30 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery Staging Area B, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80235.
