Obituary

Joseph Francis Lombardi, known to family and friends as "Frank", passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 at his home in Denver, Colorado. He was 90 years old.

Frank was born in Anaconda, Montana to Joseph Thomas Lombardi and Catherine Stephanie Flippan.He grew up in Anaconda before serving his country honorably in the US Army as a member of the Honor Guard and receiving the Code of Conduct medal.

Frank and his brother Kenny were proud proprietors of Duffy's Shamrock Restaurant and Bar, a well-known landmark in downtown Denver for 44 years. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and other local sports teams and could often be found discussing professional and college sports with his friends. Frank will be remembered for his kindness, warmth and generosity and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He had a gift for working with his hands and able to fix nearly anything - from a squeaky hinge to rebuilding a player piano. He was also a skilled woodworker, who collected and restored antique slot machines paying close attention to detail and taking great pride in his work. Frank cared deeply for his family, friends and home and was well liked by everyone.

Joseph Francis Lombardi will be remembered for his dedication to family and his community, and the warmth he brought to all who knew him as "Frank."

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sharlene "Charlie" Lombardi, and his three children.  Son, Dana "Dane" Lombardi (wife, Shellie, granddaughters, Kelsie (husband Dom) and Alissa). Son, Jeff Lombardi (Jessica).  Daughter, Luralynn (husband, Russell Mester, grandsons, Calvin & Truman).  He is also survived by his brother Kenneth Lombardi (Shirley).
