George Eugene Hebert, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly at home. He was born at St. Anthony Central in Denver and reared in Wheat Ridge. He graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1976, where he first discovered his love of music and artistic talents. Rarely was George without his guitar, sharing his passion for music and joy with those around him. His quick wit always made people laugh, and he was a kind and loving soul. Although diagnosed with schizophrenia in his early adulthood, George stoically lived with it and never gave up trying to find new treatments. George was a valiant and loving son, providing many years of compassionate and dedicated care for his parents before their passing. He was a cherished brother and friend, and will be missed by those he knew and loved. He is survived by his brothers Gregory James (Valerie) Hebert, and brother Grant Joseph (Ginger) Hebert. He was a loyal uncle to Roy John Turner, Andrew Grant Hebert, Kyle Eugene Hebert and Aubrie Rose Hebert. George was recently preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Rose Hebert, and by his father George John Hebert and sister, Gerardette Marie Hebert-Turner. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 969 Ulysses St. Golden, CO 80401. A reception will immediately follow. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to NAMI Colorado 2280 S. Albion St., Denver, CO 80222.
