George was born in Laramie, Wyoming, but spent most of his life in Lakewood, CO where he passed away on March 3, 2022 at the age of 57.  He attended the Robert G. Weiland School.  After completing his schooling, he worked with the assistance of DDRC (Developmental Disabilities Resource Center) as a dishwasher at Pizza Hut, at the Bruno Center, and on a 4-person cleaning crew.   His favorite pastimes included bowling, shopping and going out to eat.

Special thanks to all of his group home caregivers and other support people over the years, to co-guardian Laura, special friends Thai and Ken, the staff of the Western Hills care center, and a very special nurse named Hillary from St. Anthony Hospital.

George is survived by his sister, Marianne Hinder and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Harriett Wilkinson.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10:00 am Lakewood United Church of Christ, 100 Carr St, Lakewood, CO 80228.
