Grace Yuriko Ito passed away quietly on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Village at Belmar in Lakewood, Colorado of natural causes.  She was born on April 17, 1925 in Arvada, Colorado and raised in Denver by her parents Frank and Noye (Kamaya) Kawakami along with her six siblings, Kay, Charles, Samuel Fred, Ruth and Unis.

Grace married James H. Ito who was in the US Air Force, and lived in varies cities and countries until he was discharged. They resided in Colorado Springs with their son, David. Grace was a pass member of Simpson United Methodist Church in Arvada.

Gracie is survived by her son David; sister Ruth Shinto and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband James and five siblings.

A Committal service will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:15am at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S., Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO 80235 staging area C.
