Jacqueline Owen Greer, R.N., born May 16,1937, in Rochester New York. Died December 14, 2024, in Littleton Colorado. She graduated from Charlotte High School in Rochester after which she attended St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in New York City, from which she graduated in 1958 as a Registered Nurse. There she met her beloved Husband of 65 years, Gary Greer. They were married in 1957.
The couple lived in Monterey, California and Heilbronn, Germany before moving to Longmont in 1961. She worked as a nurse at Longmont Community Hospital and then Boulder Medical Center until her husband finished law school in 1964. They relocated in Denver, and she worked as a surgical nurse at Rose Hospital as well a nurse at Swedish Hospital. She then took time to raise her two children, Bradley and Jane. Later, she returned to nursing as a visiting nurse for the Littleton public schools and psychiatric nurse at two private mental health facilities. She and her husband settled in Littleton, and she began a career of volunteer activities at Project Angel Heart, the Opera Colorado Guild, which she served as president, the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions, and the Littleton Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by daughter, Jane M Greer-Grotts and husband Eric Grotts, son Bradley A. Greer and her grandsons Dalton G. Hall and fiancé Sammi King and Austin T. Greer and Justin M Hall. Devoted to her family, she also enjoyed travel, food, art, opera, volunteer work and swimming. Contributions to Project Angel Heart or Littleton Nourish Meals on Wheels .
Her ashes will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
