James Anthony Canino passed away June 19, 2021 at the age of 37. He was born on September 30, 1983 in Colorado to Mark & Rhonda Canino. Engaged to his soul mate, Michelle McDole. They were to be wed on July 11, 2021 in their happy place, Crested Butte, Colorado.

James was an avid fisherman and snowboarder. He was at home in nature. Whether on top of a mountain, trekking through the Pacific Northwest or wading down a river he was in his element. Those that spent time with him outdoors learned to love nature the way he did. James enjoyed concerts, kickball, bowling and anything active to live his best life. He was always up for watching the Avalanche or the Broncos play, win or lose.

In his death, James was able to give the gift of sight to others through donation. May the recipients truly see the uniqueness of all nature and the joys in life through James' eyes.

He is survived by his fiancé, Michelle McDole, his parents, Mark and Rhonda Canino, Brother, Joseph Canino, Sister, Katherine Nelson (Anders), Sister, Christina Canino Troksa (Blake), his nephews, Anthony Canino (13), Liam Nelson (8), Owen Nelson (5), and niece, Josephine Nelson (3).

Memorial Mass is Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 6:00pm at Regis Jesuit Girl's Division; Rupert Mayer Chapel, 6300 S. Lewiston Way, Aurora, CO 80016.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life is Friday, July 2, 2021 at 2:00pm at Heritage Eagle Bend, 23155 E Heritage Pkwy, Aurora, CO 80016 with reception to follow.
