Janet Marie Weers Will was born in Boulder, Colorado, where she spent most of her adult life. Janet loved living near and exploring around the Rocky Mountains. Janet loved her family, science, nature, and above all, was dedicated to her cats.

Janet spent several years working in a career highlight role for her as a solar observer for the NOAA office in Boulder - "taking pictures of the sun."

When traveling and exploring the United States, highlights were Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone National Parks, with a particular affinity for Estes Park, CO.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother Irma Swanson Weers and father Walter Alfred Weers, and is survived by her sister Heidi Weers Hagen of Galena, Illinois, and by her nephew Brandon Hagen of Firestone, Colorado.
