Dr. John Erwin Tabor passed away on February 3, 2024 in Denver, Colorado at the age of 86. He was born on August 14, 1937 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to Charles and Anna Tabor.
John spent his youth in the Detroit Lakes area and attended St.Olaf College where he received dual degrees in history and chemistry, then went on to get his degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. John served 4 years in the US Navy and was discharged with the rank of Lt. Commander. He served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam.
John and Pearlann were married in December 1967 and settled in Palo Alto, California where they raised their family. John became a partner at the Palo Alto Dental Group where he dedicated himself to providing excellent care to his patients for over 3 decades. In 2008 they moved to Denver, Colorado to be near their grandchildren as they grew up. He had a strong passion and curiosity for the arts, sciences, literature, nature and travel.
John was a man of integrity, wit and compassion who touched the lives of many with his generosity of spirit. May we find comfort in our memories as we celebrate a well-lived life and pay forward his kindness towards others.
He is survived by his wife Pearlann Tabor; sons Philip and Matthew Tabor; grandchildren Evan and Katherine Tabor; as well as brother Allen Tabor, sister Mary Lee and numerous other family members and friends around the globe.
In accordance with Dr. Tabor's wishes there will be no public service held at this time. Please consider making donations to The Boys and Girls Club of America , Wounded Warrior Project or your local food bank or a charitable organization of your choice.
