Joni (Wiese) Briola, 65, passed away in her home on June 23, 2025 after a year long battle with cancer. While we are heartbroken by her loss, we are grateful that she is no longer in pain and is finally at peace.

Joni was generally reserved by nature so we will spare her the posthumous embarrassment of telling her life story. We will say she dedicated her life to helping her community, first as a paramedic, then by training future first responders as an EMS Instructor. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her natural artistic ability, and love for her family and pets Lucy and Taz.

Joni is survived by her sons Andy and Patrick (daughter-in-law Megan), father Jerry, sisters Jami and Jeri, her nephew Kevin, nieces Michelle and Skyler, and uncle Bob (partner Jerry). Joni passed just five days before her mother, Shirley.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor in the Fall. If you want to honor Joni, give your pet an extra treat on her behalf or donate to a local animal shelter.
