June Helen Hamaty Jones, 97, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Rosemark Assisted Living in Denver, Colorado. She was born on June 17, 1924, in Houtzdale, PA, to the late Elias and Catherine Hamaty.  She was the only girl of 4 children.

June was funny, feisty, and sharp to the end.  She lived her life with zest and vigor, loved to travel, loved to share her faith, and was very benevolent.  Her long career in the CIA made for some interesting times and on rare occasions, fascinating stories.

June is survived by her son, Dennis Jones of Nampa, ID, granddaughter, Dana Jones of Denver, CO, great-granddaughter Kaylin Bright (Wade) of Westminster, CO, and great-great grandchildren Rainbow, River, and Canyon Bright. She is preceded in death by her brothers John, David, and Dr. Daniel Hamaty.

A service will be planned at the Brisbin, PA cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in June's honor to a charity of your choice.
