Obituary

Kathleen Leonard Harding, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2022 at the age of 75 in Denver, Colorado surrounded by her family.

Kathie was born on June 27, 1947 in Pueblo, CO to Leonard and Emily Allee, the oldest of two children. She and her brother Woods grew up on several ranches in southern Colorado. Leonard and Emily's jobs moved the family to Beulah and later Canon City where Kathleen attended high school. She studied at Western State University and then moved to Fort Collins. It was there, while working as a 911 dispatcher, she met her first husband, George Hunt to whom she was married for 19 years.

Kathleen and George moved to Denver and later Lakewood and had two sons, Drew and Jay. Kathleen was a dedicated mother and spent a lot of time with her boys keeping them out of trouble. She also was an avid crafter and enjoyed sewing, macrame, and quilting, and sold some of her creations at local craft fairs.

She worked as the Office Manager at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She made many enduring friendships with her colleagues. One of which was David Harding, a University Police Officer. Over many years, their relationship blossomed and they married in September 1997.

David and Kathleen enjoyed Rockies games, the Breckenridge Jazz Festival, cheering for the Broncos, and most of all visiting with friends. She spent many years volunteering for the MS Society. They took many trips together for celebrations including seeing David's family in Indianapolis.

Kathleen endured many medical challenges over the years with grace, dignity, and strength. David was an amazing pillar of support taking care of her for many years before she took the role of caregiver while David needed it most. Kathleen's family would like to thank every caregiver and everyone who was a part of her large support team for all their loving support, care, and well wishes.

She leaves behind Andrew (Drew) Hunt, wife Devren Hobbs, Justin (Jay) Hunt, wife Jessica, two grandsons, Callum and Donovan, her brother, Woods Allee, and wife Rita, plus her large family that includes nieces, nephews and many cousins. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband of almost 20 years, David Harding.
