Larry L. Brown

Larry L Brown, 88, passed away peacefully at his home on July 17th, 2026.

Larry was born in Hardin County, Illinois on August 24, 1937, to proud parents WR Brown and Marcella Brown. His family moved to Colorado in 1949. Larry graduated from Arvada High School in 1955. Shortly after graduating, Larry enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1955 to 1958. While in the Navy, he was trained to be an Electrician.

Larry met Armene Kludjian in Philadelphia. The meeting was destined by fate and they were married on April 18, 1959. The couple settled in Arvada, CO and started their beautiful family.

Larry was a proud member of IBEW Local 68 and worked as a licensed electrician until he retired. His specialty was wiring control panels for cranes that moved fuel cells at Nuclear Power plants. He traveled all over the US and to Japan for work.

Larry deeply appreciated the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the mountain property he lovingly referred to as "The Ranch." Larry, Armene and their family carved out as much time as they could at "The Ranch." He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies and Colorado Avalanche; He was always watching sports. In addition to his love of sports, he was a Civil War buff and constantly learned all he could. He and Armene took every opportunity to spend time traveling and seeing the world together. Hilton Head Island, SC was an especially cherished destination for Larry and his family.

Larry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Armene, brother Bill (Judy), son Michael (Stacy), daughter Tammy (Marty, deceased), grandchildren Baylee (Kevin), Jordan, Kelsea (Matt), Tori, and Jessi. Great grandchildren Rowan, August and Lou. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kay and his son Timothy.

Per his request, no formal service will be held. Larry will be inurned at Ft. Logan National Cemetery with full military honors.
