Leslie A.
Martin
October 8, 1961 – April 3, 2026
Leslie Ann Martin, aged 64, of Denver passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026 after facing a recent cancer diagnosis with grace and dignity.
Leslie was born at Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan to Thomas Patrick Martin and Joanne Marie Martin (née Anderson). The family eventually settled in Colorado Springs where Leslie graduated from Air Academy High School in 1979. She then attended University of Colorado Boulder earning a degree in Chinese Language and Literature. Leslie worked for several years at Shepherd’s/McGraw-Hill in Colorado Springs. After earning an MBA from University of CO Colorado Springs, She moved to Denver to begin a marketing career in the Biotech industry. Over the years as the Biotech Industry experienced repeated upheavals, Leslie’s detailed mind was drawn to shipping logistics and she finished her career as an import specialist at Gallagher Transport Denver.
Leslie was very beautiful and beloved by everyone. She will be remembered as a steadfast friend and a brilliant, creative person who expressed her love of beauty through her artfully decorated home and abundant flowers. Her sometimes sarcastic wit was sharpened by keen observation skills and a great sense of timing. Oh she knew how to make us laugh! She also loved dogs and all furry creatures, especially her beagle Shilo.
She is survived by her parents as well as her sisters, Mary Billingham of Florissant, CO and Holly Smith (Steve) of Potosi, MO, all of whom loved her very much.
A celebration of life will be held on June 20, 2026 in Denver. The address to be provided to interested parties.
In lieu of flowers, the family wants to honor Leslie’s request that donations be made to the 15/10 Foundation that works to make shelter dogs with medical needs more adoptable.
