Lisa Watson Nuanes was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world unexpectedly at the age of 70.

Born in New York City, Lisa lived the majority of her life in Denver. She was passionate about Montessori education and worked as a teacher for many years with young children. Later, she started a second career in AVID education where she delighted in helping high school students learn algebra, calculus, and other advanced subjects.

When she wasn't teaching, Lisa spent time in the garden where she was skilled at growing flowers; lilacs were her favorite. She was an enthusiastic soccer fan and enjoyed introducing her children to the beautiful game. She had a soft spot for Liverpool Football Club.

Above all, Lisa loved her family. She spent uncountable hours taking her children to soccer practice, violin lessons, and other school functions. She had immense pride in seeing her children progress in their careers, find partners in life, start families, and put down roots in new cities.
