Lois R. Sargent

October 25, 1931 — February 18, 2026

Northglenn

Lois R. Sargent passed away peacefully on February 18th, after a beautiful 94 years, a courageous battle against cancer, and a strong-willed determination to always go up against the odds.

While she was known for a sweetness that touched everyone in her path, Lois possessed a quiet, ironclad strength that defined her life. One might say it was a must-have quality while raising the five Johnson boys she adored so dearly.

Born in 1931, Lois was raised on a farm in Illinois before adventuring out on her own. She loved telling stories of flying open-cockpit planes, exploring Chicago, and—most importantly—meeting and beginning her life with Bob, whom she married in 1953 until his passing in 2007.

Family always came first; she loved them with her whole heart, unconditionally. Her friends meant the world to her, and her Church and Christ remained a central part of her life. She also deeply loved the Colorado mountains in the summer and the Arizona sun in the winter. If she could, she would have spent every minute quilting for those she loved and for the strangers she had yet to meet.

There's no doubt Lois pushed adventure, challenged the limits, and found the beauty in the little things.

In her honor, we ask that you carry a bit of Lois's sunshine with you. Be a little sweeter to a stranger, stay a little stronger against the odds, and never stop looking for the beauty in the mountains.

Lois has been reunited with those who went before her, including her first husband Bob (Robert) Johnson and second husband Jack Sargent; her mother and father, Marcella and William Kilker; and her brother, Roger Kilker. Brothers-in-law Homer, Royal, and Harlan Johnson, Uncle Lester and Aunt Annie La Budde, among other loved ones whom she cared so deeply about.

Her memory will be forever held dear by those she leaves behind: her five sons, Harlan, Merle, Glen, Gary, and Karl; six grandchildren, Dawn, Harlan Jr., Lance, Kyle, Mathew and Karissa; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Audrey Kilker and Irma Johnson, and her brother-in-law, Dale. Numerous other family and friends will forever hold her memory close.

Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, 11:00 am at The Northglenn Church of Christ 11010 Roseanna Dr, Northglenn, CO 80234. Followed by a private burial at Fort Logan alongside her first love, Bob.
