Obituary

Marcia Ann (Crossley) Whitcomb died August 5, 2022 in Brighton, CO. Born September 6, 1938 in Moline, IL she was the only child of the late Melvin & Amy (Huey) Crossley.

Marcia attended University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and graduated in 1960. She moved to Denver a short time later where she resided for the remainder of her life and raised her three children. She was a professional cellist who played with several Philharmonic orchestras over her career including the Denver and Arvada Philharmonics. Marcia was an active member of Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church for 60 years. Music, education and finding ways to help people were the cores of Marcia's life. She loved traveling and working on her family genealogy in her retirement.

Marcia was a beloved wife, mother of 3, grandmother of 4, great grandmother of 8 and great-great grandmother of 3. She is survived by her son, John Pearce and wife Siena, and their children Nicole Means (and her child and 2 grand children) and Lisa Germany (and  her 2 children and 1 grandchild); Daughter, Wendelyn (Pearce) Fauth and husband Jay, and their children Jessica (Pennington) Zeleniak, husband James (and their 2 children) and Flint Pennington, wife Jennifer (and their 3 children), also survived by the children and families of Norman Whitcomb, and the children and families of Sandor Kallai, as well as numerous other extended family members and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Norman Whitcomb, and her daughter Dawn Pearce.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2:00pm at Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church 1980 Dahlia St., Denver, CO with a reception at the church to follow.
