Marcus A.
Hyde
June 1, 1989 – January 20, 2022
Marcus Andrew Hyde was born in Tampa, FL in June 1989 and was named after both his grandfathers. He spent his first six years of life in Ocoee, FL, a suburb of Orlando, before he moved with his family to Colorado.
As a young person growing up, Marcus developed his own sense of style: colored and unique glasses, sports jerseys and sneakers, picky of what he wore; he loved being a sharp dressed guy. Another trait Marcus exhibited his entire life was his generosity within his means and his thoughtfulness. Marcus first went to Vista Grande Elementary in Westminster when the family moved to Colorado and then Stukey Elementary after his parents, Tom & Marilyn, bought a house in the Fox Run subdivision in Northglenn. He went to Northglenn Middle School and graduated from Thornton High School in 2007.
Marcus' employment history included car and retail sales. Sadly, about 12 years ago, Marcus had his first psychotic episode and was diagnosed with schizophrenia. For the last 5 years, he was finally prescribed the best antipsychotic med for him and lived on his own in Pueblo. Several months after his sister passed away, almost three years ago due to SUDEP, Marcus suffered a stroke. On the evening of January 19 th , he went to bed like any other night and never woke up. Mom, Dad, and Aunt Connie miss him SO much. May he rest in peace.
Celebration of Life for friends and family will be held at Coors Field on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm.
There will be free parking in Lot A (north of Park Ave via Wazee). It's okay to park in the handicap parking of Lot A, closest to the field for special events. This parking is basically outside of right field, or Gate A. Although this parking is close to the field, there are a number of steps to get up to street level and it's a decent walk to get to Gate D for Marcus' event (behind Home Plate, 20th and Blake St). Anyone with walking issues may want to be dropped off near the corner of 20 th and Blake Street before the driver parks in Lot A. Upon entering gate D, guests will be met by an attendant to direct them to the appropriate aisle/steps to get down to the field. An elevator is also available to get down to the field level. The venue will be on the warning track behind Home Plate, from dugout to dugout. Assuming a beautiful, Colorado afternoon, guests may want to bring a hat and/or sunglasses. An alternate, covered location will be available in the event of inclement weather. Requests for a map can be sent to mr2mh@aol.com. Marcus' favorite color was orange. Guests are encouraged to wear something orange.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Stroke Association or National Stroke Association.
