Our Beloved Angel Mel has been returned to heaven. His strong soul and bright light will shine over us along with his grandmother and many other loved ones from above.

Rest in Peace my son. God knows you earned it. Until we meet again my handsome angel.

Gone too soon at the young age of 32.  Melvin was tragically hit by a car while crossing the street on March 13, 2022 and sadly passed away on March 16, 2022.

We will miss his beautiful smile, great sense of humor and incredible wit. He was so funny, loving and genuine. We will also miss his great sense of determination in doing things his way!  His beautiful and feisty personality will never be forgotten.

My generous angel left a true hero! He donated his organs to 5 separate recipients! His heart, lungs, liver and kidneys separately.  Truly Amazing!  Congratulations son, I am so very proud of you!

Life is about giving back. What better way to give!

You will truly live on!

Melvin is survived by his mother and step-father Rose and Bill, father Melvin Sr., 3 sisters Sharissa, Ashlee, Tosha, step-sister Jamal, step-brother Nick and 7 nephews Jaden, Carter, Mason, Jacob, David, Owen and Alexander and step nephews Kameron, Ryan and step niece Kaylynn.

We are having a small service and celebration of Mel's life for close family on April 10, 2022.

In addition, we plan to have a larger one for extended family this summer.  This will be combined with Mel's grandmother's celebration of life as well. Details to be announced on Facebook.
