Obituary

Michael "Mike" Ira Ingram, 74, of Commerce City, passed away at home on October 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Mike faced his illness with extraordinary strength, perseverance, and grace, never losing his humor or his love for those around him.

Mike was born on January 29, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, to Bill and Sadie Ingram where as a child he developed a passion for music and sports, especially baseball. These passions followed him through his time at Aurora Central High School and the University of Denver. In 1970, while working at his father's bank, he fell for a customer who would become his wife. Mike and Linda married in 1971 and remained married at his passing. They had three sons together, shared a passion for gardening, interior decorating, and, of course, their Scottish Terriers, who were constant companions through the years.

Early in his career, Mike worked in finance and banking before transitioning to the restaurant business; however, his true professional home became United Airlines, where he spent over 30 years as a lead ramp agent. He took immense pride in his work and cherished the deep friendships and sense of camaraderie he built with his United family.

Some of Mike's happiest moments were those that involved spending time with his sons. He coached their teams, helped run the Arapahoe Youth League, and found joy in every practice and game. He especially loved the extra batting practice sessions at Willow Creek and Walnut Hills. Even after his coaching years ended, he rarely missed a game, always showing up to support his sons and the players he had coached. Outside of sports, Mike shared his love of music; appreciation for jazz greats and Frank Sinatra were passed onto his sons. Coincidently, one of Mike's relatively unknown interesting facts is that he once served Frank Sinatra a bowl of Campbell's Tomato Soup backstage at McNichols Arena.

Mike will be remembered for his loving and caring nature, his witty sense of humor, and his unwavering work ethic. He lived by the mantra that if you weren't going to do it right, don't do it at all.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Linda Ingram, his sister Nancy Snyder, brother Jeff Ingram, and his three sons, Matt (Courtney) Ingram, Andy Ingram, and Ben (Amber) Ingram. He also leaves behind his two adored grandsons, Jordan "JJ" Ingram (6) and Tyler "Ty" Ingram (3). He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Sadie Ingram.

An open-house celebration of Mike's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Reunion Coffee House at 10601 Reunion Parkway, Commerce City, CO 80022. Family and friends are warmly invited to come share stories, laughter, and memories of Mike.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation .

Mike's legacy lives on through the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the example he set for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
