Michael Shawn Ryan was born July 13, 1960 in Pueblo, Colorado and died peacefully on July 17, 2023 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Shawn was a huge animal lover, he especially loved cats, as he had many of his own.  He was a veterinary technician most of his adult life, doing what he loved. Over the past few years, he worked at the School House Kitchen restaurant in Arvada, where he made many close friends.

He loved the outdoors, whether it be camping, fishing, hunting, or shark fishing off the coast of Texas. He enjoyed photography.  Shawn was a photographer for his high school newspaper, which carried over throughout the rest of high school years, and adult life.

Shawn is survived by his brother, Anthony Ryan, daughter, Jennifer Boone-Williams, grandchildren, Angel Boone-Chapa and Romeo Chapa, two great grandchildren, and many friends. He preceded in death by his mother Linda Ryan, and grandparents, Virgil and Dorothy Smith.

Shawn will be sorely missed by so many people.

No services will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the MaxFund Animal Adoption Center in Shawn's name.
