Nancee Lisa Braan, 75, a longtime resident of Denver Colorado and native of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away at home on November 23, 2022. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ on November 25, 1946 to Josephine N. Kane and James E. J. Kane. She spent her early childhood in Elizabeth before the family moved to Clark NJ.
Nancee was retired but worked for the Denver Elections Division for many years and volunteered her time to many different groups throughout her life. Some include the Denver DEMS, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Holy Ghost Church, Whittier Neighborhood Association, Rocky Mountain PBS, and the Denver Church of Scientology. She was very much out in the community, always leading a hand, and it gave her great joy to be of help to others.
Nancee absolutely loved to sing and was a part of the Denver Open mic circuit. You could regularly find her singing at Gennaro's on South Broadway, Lincoln's Roadhouse, or Wheelz Bar and Grill.
Nancee is survived by her daughter Glynnis Braan, granddaughter Elle, siblings; Kevin Kane, Lee Wallace, and Jill Maita. She was preceded in death by her infant sister Maryann and sister Karen Humphries.
Memorial mass will be held Saturday, December, 17, 2022 at 2:00pm at Holy Ghost Church, 1900 California St, Denver, CO 80202 with a reception to follow. Memorials may be made to Rocky Mountain PBS in Nancee's name.
