Patricia Darlene Pierce, 78, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado died peacefully in her sleep October 31, 2025.

Darlene, as she liked to be known, possessed a dry, and sometimes caustic, wit. A voracious reader, she had a deep interest in Eastern philosophies, particularly Buddhism, and their application to Western psychology and medicine. She maintained a lifelong interest in women's issues and human rights and had no patience with the pieties and platitudes of organized religion. Darlene was a talented and prolific textile artist, as well as a painter. She loved her cats, old movies, watching tennis, Bruce Springsteen, true crime, travel and her Volvo.

She is survived by her sisters Virginia Kandel and DeLinda (Michael) Rose, brother Jerry Pierce, niece Marie (Kevin) Bohlayer, and nephews, Paul (Ann) Manion and Spencer Rose.
