Obituary

Patrice (Hall) Pierce, a beloved sister, educator, and leader, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience and compassion. She was one of seven sisters, including Karen, Pam, Kris, Wendy, Val and Teri with whom she shared many cherished memories growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also was the mother of Tanya (Mark), Grammy to Taylor and MJ, and Aunt to many nephews and nieces.

Patrice often spoke fondly of her childhood, recalling the generosity and warmth of her family and the profound happiness they brought her. Her family instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion, teaching her to be inclusive and accepting of all. These qualities became the foundation of her character, guiding her through college, a distinguished career, as well as a loving wife and mother.

Driven by empathy and strength, Patrice dedicated herself to supporting others, especially those with special needs. She became Director of Special Education for Denver Public Schools, where her open-mindedness and inclusivity made a lasting impact on countless lives. Patrice held a special place in her heart for students and colleagues with special needs, always striving to create an environment where everyone felt valued and included.

As a founding member, Patrice and her husband Grover, helped establish Our Father Lutheran Church, which still provides spiritual guidance today. After her retirement she continued her spiritual journey by joining "The Spiritual Group" which met in their leaders' home and later attended St Andrew United Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch with her life partner, Bob.

Patrice will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the many individuals whose lives she touched. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her.

A private service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
