Obituary

On November 5, 2022, Patricia (Pat) Reichert died in Littleton, Colorado after her long and courageous battle with cerebellar ataxia. She was 71 years old.

Pat was born on February 15, 1951, in Harvey, Illinois. She graduated from Seaton Catholic High School in 1968 and went on to attend Barnes Business College of Denver where she graduated with a certificate in accounting. Pat left Illinois in 1968 after High School and moved to Denver. She was the perfect spokesperson for Colorado, sharing with everyone her love of the scenery, the mountains, and the ever-changing weather. She made Colorado her home and convinced many other family members to join her.

Pat was an impressive golfer, who inspired others to embrace the sport. She traveled often, golfing at some of the finest courses around the country. Spending time with family was important to her, she rarely missed the opportunity to visit with her siblings and extended family members. Pat was fortunate when she met Sandi (Rog) and Kelli (Linville) when they were children. She brought these wonderful girls into her family and loved them as her own.  A favorite pastime of Pat's was to talk about growing up in Chicago and telling old family stories over and over again while drinking Miller Lite.

In her professional life, Pat broke the glass ceiling as a female Vice President of ET LaFore Construction. Under her leadership LaFore Inc became a multimillion-dollar minority company that completed work all over the world. Pat was an amazing person who will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. She often encouraged others to not be afraid of their neighbors, she would say there are so many more good people than bad!

Pat is survived by Ron Reichert (brother), Alice Woodall (sister), Ann Gagliardi (sister), Jeanee Reichert (sister), Debra Reichert (sister), Mary Reichert (sister), Susan Reichert (sister), as well as over 50 nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by Lucille and Russell Reichert (parents), Frank Reichert (brother), Carol Weiss (sister), Jim Reichert (brother), Tom Reichert (brother).

A celebration of life for Pat is scheduled from 2:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, November 12th at Riverwalk Clubhouse, 2751 West Riverwalk Circle, Littleton CO 80123. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Heifer International , nonprofit. This organization was important to Pat due to their work in providing long term support to villages in third world countries.

During Pat's memorial we want to surround ourselves with stories that help us remember how exceptional she was. All are welcome to send written memories, stories, and thoughts they would like to have read at the service to jeaneereichert@gmail.com.
