Obituary

Bobby Miles, age 47, passed on January 16, 2025, at home in Denver, CO. He was born in Manhasset, NY, on February 25, 1977, and lived most of his years in Denver, Colorado.

Bobby was an extremely gentle, thoughtful, and kind man. When young, Bobby was an accomplished swimmer and diver. So much so, that he was one of the famed divers at Casa Bonita restaurant in Denver. Bobby's intellectual capabilities were remarkable. When Bobby received his high school GED, the lady that presented it to him said that the last person to have such a high score was given their certificate by Colorado's Governor. After a traumatic brain injury in 2003, Bobby had to teach himself to read again. When he decided to go back to University to pursue chemistry, his preparation included eye therapy through the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy and sessions with specialists under the protocol for long COVID at National Jewish. He became skilled at utilizing all the resources available to him to accomplish his goals. Recently, Bobby was enrolled at Metropolitan State University in Denver, and was looking forward to his next semester. Also, in recent years, Bobby enjoyed bicycling around Denver with a large group of friends.

Bobby is predeceased by his mother, Mari-Judeth (Miki) Reed Miles, and his step-father Robert Miles. He is survived by his life partner, Dianna Lynn Bravo, his daughter, Wysteria Fawn Budinoff, his father, Robert Alan Budinoff, his step-mother Hillary Jane Friauf, his brothers Dr. Charles Ryan Budinoff and Michael Friend Miles, his sisters Teri-Ann Elizabeth Herrera, Whitney Dawes Budinoff, Iris Dawes Budinoff, Dr. Hannah Dawes Budinoff, and his numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.
