Roy Valks, 81, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on December 25, 2022 from heart complications.

Roy "Reidar" was born in Riga, Latvia. Displaced by WWII he emigrated with his mother and sister to the United States and in 1950. After serving in U.S. Army he built a career in photofinishing and worked for numerous companies around the country before his retirement.

He is survived by his children, Kirsten Charles of Carmel, NY, Danielle Valks of Denver, CO, Tyler Valks of Carefree, AZ, Alexander Valks (Amity Buchner) of Denver, CO, granddaughter Alexandra Charles of Carmel, NY, sister Liliane Valks of Aurora, CO, and nephew Victor Valks of Denver, CO. Roy was preceded in death by his wife Diane Valks (Barnes), mother Millija Tamara Valks (Barkovski), and father Aleksandrs Ferdinands Valks.

At his request services will not be held.
