Ruth Haig of Lakewood, Colorado, formerly of Peabody, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 97. Ruth was a longtime member of Lakewood United Church of Christ and of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

She is survived by three daughters: Barbara Van Laethem of Arvada; Nancy Murphy of Lakewood; and Janet (Mike) Desjardins of Fitchburg MA. She also leaves three cherished grandsons: Eric (Rafaella) Van Laethem; Daniel Murphy; and Jeff (Samantha) Van Laethem. She was blessed to have two great-grandsons: Simon and George. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter, and nine sisters and brothers.
