Our Sammy-man. The miracle who was Sam came into our lives on April 8, 1988, and died in Wheat Ridge, CO on April 8, 2022. His time here was filled with physical and mental challenges. Despite those issues, he was one of the happiest people we have ever known.

Sam was an avid artist, music lover and animals were always very close to his heart. He adored Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars- his entire life. And the love he had for his staff at Wheat Ridge Regional Center and at Pueblo Regional Center never wavered!

Sam is survived by his parents, Allison and John Patella, brother Nico Patella, nephew Mavrik Patella, grandfather Jack Patella and grandmother Gege Brightman, his beloved aunts: Carolyn Kroenlein, Janis Patella and Patti Shoefstall. In addition, he loved and was loved by his extended family members.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 12:00pm at our home, 6745 S. Cook St., Centennial, Colorado 80122. All are welcome.
