Sharon Kay Marrs passed away on January 9, 2026 at the age of 77. She was born in Guam on December 20, 1948, to William Hart Johnson and Dorothy Hotze Johnson. She grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico and loved the Organ Mountains and Mexican food.

Sharon was a woman of many interests who enjoyed people and laughter. She liked baking, tackling house projects, reading mystery and romance novels, gardening and volunteering in her community. She had a big smile, a playful spirit and was always up to trying new things. Above all, she was a devoted wife and partner, sharing a lifelong love with her husband, John, whom she affectionately called her "honey bear." Their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dorothy Johnson, and her beloved husband, John Marrs.

She is survived by her brother, William Johnson (Maureen); her son, Dale Marrs (Shannan); her daughter, Kathryn Boelter (Jim); and her granddaughter, Gwendolyn Rose.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a later date with family and friends. Details will be shared when available.
