Spencer J.
Frank
October 11, 1980 – October 4, 2024
Spencer James Frank, 43, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of October 4, 2024. Born October 11, 1980, to Glenn and Charlotte Frank in Grand Junction, Colorado, Spencer was the youngest child in the family of four.
As a mischievous boy graced with a keen wit and an imaginative spirit full of wonderment, Spencer's love for the great outdoors soon began to define his personality. Fortunate enough to grow up in an era where children were allowed to chase their wildest dreams outside, he, along with his eldest brother, Aaron, and friends, often found himself exploring nature and partaking in legendary adventures in the desert regions of western Colorado. As Spencer grew and moved to different areas of the state, his passion for the high country never wavered. Continuing to share in monumental life experiences with a multitude of friends and acquaintances, especially on the trails and slopes of Winter Park, Spencer relished any opportunity for adventure in the mountains he so adored, shaping him into an avid downhill mountain biker and skier.
Gifted with a relentless work ethic and blessed with an inquisitive, analytical mind, Spencer earned his GED and entered the workforce as an apprentice electrician, taking on a trade in which his untamed motivation flourished. Self-educated and open to any challenges, Spencer excelled beyond compare, and diligently attained multiple designations and certifications.
Accomplished, but still yearning for more than just routine application of his skill, he soon entered the realm of commercial asset management. Once he stepped into his first property, his true working identity came to fruition in building engineering. In a relatively short period of time per industry traditions, Spencer achieved a number of professional accomplishments and soared to heights rarely seen from a person of his youth.
At various properties, he excelled from a building engineer to a lead engineer absorbing every detail of his workplace environment, earning him an immense knowledge of building infrastructures. But in typical fashion, those results could not stop his unbridled aspirations.
After supporting the startup and commissioning of DaVita's World Headquarters in downtown Denver, Spencer stepped into his first Chief Engineer role at the building in 2014 where he continued to shine in building operations and also met the love of his life, Natalie.
After four years, his untapped potential went on full display and he springboarded into a pivotal chapter in his career. In 2018, after assuming the reins as Chief Engineer at 1801 California, one of Denver's tallest high-rises, Spencer spent the next six years tirelessly laboring to transform an outdated building into a structure of modern engineering safety standards and excellence.
Still not fully content, he left 1801 California parlaying his accolades within the industry to ascertain his ultimate goal of continued growth. Joining Hines in August of this year, he assumed a much coveted leadership position and right off the bat was already on an accelerated path of greatness. Spencer was an incredibly well-rounded and highly respected engineer leader and those who were lucky to have worked with him know the forever impact he will have on the industry.
Despite all the pinnacles that validated his professional success, Spencer's pure essence of a person will forever be reflected in his love for his family.
In 2012, meeting his true love, champion and confidant, Natalie Marie Jones, Spencer's life came full circle. From that moment forward, an unbreakable bond and irrevocable love developed between them. Civilly wed on July 25, 2019 then spiritually blessing their vows on August 14, 2021, Natalie and Spencer became one in all aspects of the meaning. From this magical union, the true relevance of Spencer's soul came to light on February 7, 2021 with the birth of his son and best friend, Dillon James Frank. Then just a short two plus years later the final fulfillment of his heart happened on October 24, 2023 with the birth of his beautiful baby girl, Remi Marie Frank.
While Spencer will always be immortalized for his resilient determination and absolute resolve to succeed, no image of this amazing man can be more profound than that of a proud, loving, compassionate, caring and supportive husband and father.
Spencer is survived by his wife Natalie, son Dillon, daughter Remi, father Glenn Frank (Leah), mother Charlotte Fishburn (Jack), brother Aaron Frank (Julianne), niece Jordan, nephew Weston, uncle Fred Wolfe (Madeliene), cousin Alex and a multitude of in-laws. Spencer is proceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Marian Wolfe and aunt Ellen Wolfe.
