With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Troy William Sliter, who left this world far too soon on August 27, 2025, at the age of 35.

Troy was a free spirit—a gypsy soul who lived life on his own terms and found beauty in places and moments others often overlooked. Born on February 21, 1990, Troy carried a deep curiosity and a thirst for adventure that led him to travel far and wide. From the lush landscapes of Hawaii to the sun-soaked shores of St. Croix, the rainforests of Costa Rica to the mountains of Durango, Colorado, Troy sought connection with nature, people, and the essence of life itself.

Those who knew Troy will remember his infectious laughter, his love for the road less traveled, and the way he made everyone feel seen. He had a big heart, a restless spirit, and a unique ability to find meaning in the journey rather than the destination.

Troy leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, countless friends from all walks of life, and memories that will continue to inspire and guide those who knew him.

The family will be holding a private memorial, and a celebration of Troy's life will be planned in the near future where we hope many friends and connections can gather to share love for our Troy Boy.

In honor of his adventurous soul, the family invites you to share your stories, travels, and memories of Troy as we remember a life well lived and deeply loved. For Troy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
