Victoria K.
Sublette
October 9, 1998 – December 29, 2020
Victoria (Tori) Kathleen Sublette passed away unexpectedly in her Denver home on December 29, 2020. Victoria was 22, full of life, and ready to conquer the world. Tori embraced life to the fullest. Those who crossed her path always felt her empathetic pull. Once caught in her charismatic orbit, you were granted access to endless imagination, creativity, and humor.
One of the most impactful times in her life was when she was sixteen attending Hawaii preparatory academy on Hawaii's Big Island. Tori gained much of her grace and understanding about the world from her time there jumping off ocean cliffs, swimming with Honu and dolphins, and helicoptering over Pele during a full volcanic eruption. Tori fell in love with the people, landscape, and culture of the Big Island even though she was a desert dweller from Tucson, Arizona. She kept and spread Hawaiian Aloha to everyone she met.
One of the friends she made during her time at Hawaii prep, Ivy, just delivered a lovely baby girl. In honor of Tori's incredible spirit, she named her first daughter Ava Jo "Tori" Willock. Tori's mana always seems to return to that lush and bountiful place
Tori was recently engaged to the love of her life, Kinnley Alan Quinn. It was the happiest moment of her life and she reveled in it telling everyone who would listen about the big news. She spent a joyful Christmas with Kinnley's family, had long phone conversations with her soul-sister, Keely, and snuggled with her black and white cat Panda. In honor of Tori's memory Kinnley will continue to pursue the life dreams and goals Tori had envisioned for their future together.
Tori was passionate about expression, art, music, and film and would have followed her life's path along one of those threads. She proudly made honor roll at MSU Denver while closing in on her associate degree.
Although Tori's life was short, she left an indelible mark on this world. Her memory lives through those she helped and inspired with her endless warmth and generosity. Tori always knew how to enjoy the small blessings of life, regardless of any challenges that came her way. You'd always catch her gazing towards the horizon in her ritualistic tradition of never missing the temperance and majesty of every sunrise and sunset, no matter where she happened to be.
The seeds of Tori's love and mana remain. Her voice is still strong to all that had the honor to spend time with one of nature's sweetest gifts.
She is survived by her parents Kathleen and Mark, brother Charles, sister Keely, and the dozens of friends she counseled and loved.
Please send remembrances to the to the Sublette Family Foundation for the Arts, 6872 East Sunrise Drive Suite 130, Tucson, Arizona 85750, that will make a legacy gift in her name.
