Jeanne Williams was the only child Henry & Lydia Lantz (of Pueblo, Colorado). She was born on February 20, 1935, just outside of West Plains, Missouri where her parents were visiting family.
Early in her life, Jeanne and her parents resided in Los Angeles, CA where she was under contract at MGM at the young age of 7. She was named Little Miss California and runner up Little Miss America of 1942. After leaving California for a vacation, the family was unable to re-enter, as the borders were closed due to all the soldiers returning from WWII, thus she was unable to fulfill her studio contract.
Jeanne graduated from Central High School in Pueblo, Colorado. She was married to Junior Wesley Shaffer in 1954 and had a daughter Debora of Walsenburg, CO (children - Dustin, Derek, Dana & Connor) before the marriage was dissolved.
On July 14, 1955, Jeanne married her high school sweetheart, Stanley Williams. They were married over 60 years at the time of his passing in 2016.
Jeanne and Stan had four children. John (Donna) of Fort Worth, TX (children – Matthew, Jessica, & Daniel); Joel of Denver, CO children – Keenan; Jeremy of Denver, CO children – Natalea, Ashlea, & Nathanel); Sandra (Tim Lowman) of Brighton, CO (children Lydia & Rachel); Great Grandchildren Jasmine, Derek Jr., Nicholas, Jaime, Kaiya, Rebecca, Lexie, Kaleb, Blake, Gideon, Oaklynn, Paisley, Noelle & Dana Jr.
In addition to being an avid reader of romance novels, Jeanne was an accomplished artist, talented dancer, and gardener. She painted and taught ballroom dancing in the home she shared with her family.
Jeanne was the heart of her family and loved all her children, grand & great grandchildren dearly. She always enjoyed spending time with them teaching them crafting, painting and the sheer joy of picking ripe fruit from the abundance of trees, bushes and vines grown in her backyard. She was generous with her time and love.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband Stan and her grandson Keenan Williams.
We joyfully believe our Mom and Grandmother has joined those loved ones who went before and is held in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Those of us remaining will greatly miss her and always love her
