After a long fight with Alzheimer's and breast cancer, Mary Zoe Blackledge Kugler passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, with her family by her side. She was 89.

Born in Sheridan Wyoming, she lived in Boulder and Salt Lake City before moving to Denver, Colorado. She attended East High School where she met her future husband and attended Colorado State University, earning her Bachelor of Science degree.

In a world full of egos, Zoe was quietly confident and humble. Elegant, forgiving, and gracious, she often had a mischievous twinkle in her eye, an impish smile, a wry sense of humor and a love of a good whisky. Blessed with a beautiful voice, she loved to sing. Music brought her joy and comfort to her last day.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill, daughter and son-in law, Lisa and David von Gunten, grandchildren, Andrew, and Reid von Gunten (Rachel), as well as a loving family of nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Vivien Blackledge, brothers James and Richard, and sister, Joann Brandt.

Her passing leaves wonderful memories and a huge hole in the hearts of all those who loved her dearly.
