Obituary

Lille Magette of Centennial, Colorado was born in Steinmetz, Missouri on September 2, 1912 and died at the Suites at Someren Glen in Centennial, Colorado on March 31, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband F.J. "Red" Magette. Lille was a registered nurse and served as a captain in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1943-1945 with most of that time spent in Europe. She was a part of the 56 th General Hospital under General Patton. She served in the Battle at Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and the Battle of the Bulge. Her decorations and citations included American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with 3 Bronze Battle Stars, 4 Overseas Service Bars, Victory Medal, and Meritorious Unit Badge. After being discharged from the Army she worked in VA hospitals for nearly 20 years and then retired from Providence Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas in 1978.

Lille was an active member of St. Thomas More Parish and involved in numerous ministries. She spent many hours doing volunteer work at St. Joseph's Hospital, St. Thomas More, and The Johnson Center. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel and spend time with her family.

She was a beloved Mother and Grandmother and is survived by her daughter, Mary Sixta.Lille is also survived by her 4 grandchildren; Erin (Jason) Faloon, Nick (Katie) Sixta, Katie Sixta, and David (Melissa) Sixta and 3 great-grandchildren; Logan and Nora Kate Faloon, and Aidan Sixta. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Brucks of Glasgow, Missouri.

Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 8035 S. Quebec Street Centennial, CO 80112 at 11:00 am on Monday April 7, 2014.In Lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials will be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Mary's Church, 6853 S. Prince St. Littleton, CO 80120.
