Cynthia Ann Voigt, known to her loved ones as Cynthia, passed away on October 14, 2023, in Denver, Colorado at the age of 77. Cynthia was born on November 8, 1945, in Denver, Colorado. She was a bright and charismatic woman with a sharp wit and an undying curiosity about the world, a joie de vivre.
Cynthia attended George Washington High School and later pursued higher education at the University of Indiana at Bloomington. After earning an MLS degree, Cynthia embarked on a successful career. She initially worked in corporate libraries before transitioning to become a stock broker and eventually entering corporate sales.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Cynthia had a passion for acting. She showcased her talent in numerous productions at Germinal Stage, The Changing Scene, and DCPA over the course of four decades.
In her personal life, Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Hero Trusler, and son-in-law, Powell. She is also survived by her sister, Meredith Voigt, her nephew, Hugh Hartigan, as well as her cousins, Zayda and Cassidy, and her aunt, Jan La Fetra. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Appleman and Richard Voigt.
A private memorial service will be held by her family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to the Denver Actors Fund's PAWS Fund , which supports local actors and their pets.
