Robert Wallace McAllister, 92, passed away March 19, 2021 at Brookdale University Park, in Denver, Colorado. Born February 16, 1929 in Hermosa Beach, California to Wallace and Ethel McAllister.

He was married to Rita Thaemert for 36 years and was a Professor of Physics at the Colorado School of Mines, from 1964 to1987.

Bob's first retirement proposal was a long, complicated digitized student grading program. He acquired woodworking tools and stocked quality lumber for numerous future projects. But his favorite pass time was camping in the Rockies and various locations throughout the West for 17 years that included annual family camps with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by spouse Rita Thaemert, children; Marlis McAllister (Steve Silski), Pine CO; Heidi McAllister (Carlos Rodriguez-Franco), Silver Spring, MD; Chris McAllister, Bailey, CO; Karen McAllister, Yerington, NV.  Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Private family service will take place at a later date.
