William H. Stinson, Jr. (Bill) followed his father and uncles to work at Ligon & Ligon, Inc as a crew member interning during summer breaks while he was in college.  He became a full-time employee on July 19, 1965 upon graduation.  While he started as an estimator, Bill spent his entire career here, mastering nearly every position and eventually assuming the role of President in 1985 until his retirement in 2009.  His dedication and talents drove the company to decades of success.  Bill was also active in the Associated Utilities Contractors of Maryland and elected to serve as its President for 1980 – 1981.

Beyond his technical skills as a contractor, Bill had a kind and generous spirit and was a friend to many.  He was more than willing to step up to help a customer in need or an employee in search of support.  His legacy will live on to all of those he inspired with his positive attitude and unwavering dedication.

Rest in peace, dear friend!
